Tarot Card Draw #1: Two of Pentacles

The Two of Pentacles often speaks of balance when it turns up for you in a daily draw. It can also warn of a rather serious imbalance that needs your immediate attention lest things get out of hand. The need for balance is most often in reference to the various areas of your life such as trying to successful juggle a good home life and productive professional life. Those with good time management skills rarely struggle with balancing the two but may find other areas of their life suffering if The Two of Pentacles turns up in a daily draw such as their love life. So much time and attention would be placed on home and work that romance may be falling in a distant third place. As humans, most of us are much more adaptable than we may realize. Resourcefulness and flexibility are always key in successfully navigating the ups and downs of life which is something strongly indicated by the Two of Pentacles. While you may think you are doing a good job at juggling the various areas of your life, if this card turns up for you in a daily draw, it is being suggested that you take an inventory of each area of your life and look for wasted efforts or maybe you are unknowingly putting in too much time in one area when that time could better be spent focusing on something else. This card, even in the upright position, could indicate that you are simply trying to juggle too much and should try to delegate some of the lesser tasks or simply cut out what is not working in order to regain and maintain a good overall balance. Basically, you need to get your priorities in order otherwise you may be setting yourself up for failure in one or more areas of your life. The Two of Pentacles may turn up for you in a daily draw to bring your attention to a decision that needs to be made once and for all as delaying it is causing you undue stress. Lastly, this card speaks of partnerships and the potential concern of trying to make each of you happy at the same time. Open and honest discussions are called for to ensure that the needs and desires of each of you are being met as well as an equal distribution of the workload.

Tarot Card Draw #2: Five of Cups

The Five of Cups is an overly emotional card which quite often speaks of the negative emotions we experience such as grief, loss, depression, oppression, emotional pain, sadness, loneliness and despair. These negative emotions are quite often precipitated by an unwelcome or unexpected change or trauma in your life such as job loss, divorce, miscarriage, your significant other ending your shared romantic connection or the death of a loved one be it expected or unexpected. The Five of Cups may turn up in your daily draw if you have been feeling regret, remorse, anger sorrow or disappointment. Maybe you have recently wronged someone in some way and are now feeling badly for it. Possibly you feel abandoned or betrayed by someone close to you or by someone whom you trusted a great deal and never expected to turn on you. While your heart may be breaking or you may be simply feeling quite overwhelmed by the pain and darkness, this card also speaks of something that I quite frequently write about: there is always something positive to be found in every situation, no matter how bad or negative it may be. This is made evident by the lone upright cup among the four overturned cups. If we look hard enough, we can find the positive and hopefully use it to find healing or to be advantageous to us in some other way.

Tarot Card Draw #3: Page of Wands, reversed

For the most part, the Page of Wands coming up reversed in a spread or daily draw is quite positive. The only negative aspect to it is that it warns you may be rushing into something without thoroughly thinking it through. It urges you to more seriously weigh all the pros and cons before taking action. Among the positive indications of this card is that some good news is coming your way and you should hear about it rather soon. The reversed Page of Wands also signifies that you will soon discover something that brings you much joy and you become quite passionate about. It can also be indicative of new and innovative ideas that could greatly benefit you both personally and professionally. This card may turn up when life may be getting too serious or you are just taking things too seriously and you need to release your inner youthful spirit. Give in to the playful side and start looking at things with a new and fresh perspective. The Page of Wands, reversed, also speaks of finding inspiration and a growing creative side to yourself you did not know existed or maybe you are just finally able to fully express your creativity. You need to start thinking on a more grand scale, possibly make some exciting new plans for your future.
