RIP Psychic Miss Cleo.

News today of the death of the famous Psychic Miss Cleo hits home on a few notes for those of us in the psychic world. Miss Cleo was full of controversy in her short life and at the age of 53, it was a short but notable journey. Now as we are the same age in the same business, but not on the same path. Miss Cleo was famed for the use of her fake Jamaican accent, my accent is 100% genuine Irish. Miss Cleo was born in August 1962. I was born two months later. Her downfall came after she advertised free psychic readings and failed to deliver them. It would not be viable or ethical to do free psychic readings on a few grounds.

Firstly, even psychics have to eat and to do that costs money. Secondly, even psychics need homes and to have that you need money and thirdly when you receive you must give, this is the law of Karma, so paying for your reading is the way to ensure that your luck stays on the good path with the universe and everything stays balanced. No one would expect people to work for nothing, or to be available for them when needed without payment of some kind and this is why if you use a psychics service you morally should pay as you would expect others to pay you for your service. Those who take without giving will receive nothing in return.

I struggle to understand why Miss Cleo didn’t use her real name “Youree Dell Harris” instead of Miss Cleo or had to fake an accent and promise something she could not deliver as in free readings. Her journey is not my journey and I will not disrespect her for her choices although I may never understand them. 53 is a very short life, as I am the same age I feel nowhere ready to go anytime soon. Colon Cancer is a dreadful illness and she and her family must have suffered dreadfully during her final journey. I pray her end was painless and send her light on her journey. May she rest in peace and may her family find comfort.

Honesty is always the best policy in this business. Real names, reasonable pricing, and clarity all the way. If Miss Cloe had followed this path, I wonder how different things would have been for her. May she rest in peace, her journey has now ended on this side. I pray she finds eternal comfort and peace.
