“Hot Felon” Jeremy Meeks, Mugshot Has Him Living the High Life Now
Jeremy Meeks, the handsome tattooed criminal whose 2014 mug shot caused a collective swoon, was a big hit during his first foray into modeling during New York’s Fashion Week. Two years ago, Meeks was dubbed the “hottest felon” in the world after his police mugshot went viral. “He has beautiful blue eyes, and I think he’s going to kill it as a model,” Paris Hilton said after seeing him on the catwalk. “He looks like that typical bad boy, and I could see him doing a lot of campaigns for some really huge brands.” Released less than a year ago from a federal prison on a weapons charge, Meeks, 33, was hired to strut his pumped-up bod Monday night at the Philipp Plein show, where celebrity guests such as Madonna and Kylie Jenner attended. The chiseled hunk told The Post he was happy to have an honest-paying gig. “I’m taking it all in, and it’s a little overwhelming,” he said backstage. Meeks said he doesn’t mind his nickname if it means it’ll get him work: “I’ll embrace the ‘hot felon.’ I’ll embrace whatever nickname the world wants to give me. I’m thankful.” Although he and his agent are keeping mum about future potential gigs, Meeks said he’s confident he’ll be able to earn an honest living in order to support his wife and three kids. “There’s a lot of huge opportunities.”
After being released in March last year, the ex-con has been keeping his 612,000 followers up to date on his new career and it’s clearly going well. Meeks posted pictures of his new luxury lifestyle on Instagram. He posed with a $150,000 Maserati in front of his huge mansion. The picture is captioned, “Good to be home.” Another shot, in which he poses topless reads: “God is good.” Fans were happy to see that Meeks’ life of crime was behind him. One admirer commented: “No matter what you did always remember, ‘every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.’”
It remains to be seen what kind of staying power Meeks will have in fashion. One nay-sayer, Eric Wilson, the fashion-news director for InStyle magazine said he doesn’t necessarily think Meeks is destined for a long career. “He’s more like a novelty,” he said. “People will do anything for the buzz, and I think that’s all it is, really.” Meek’s might just prove him wrong and have what it takes to stay in the game.
Will Meeks “Hot Felon” Modeling Career Continue and Evolve into More Opportunities?
Susan Z’s Conclusion:
Yes, if fame does not go to his head.
Hierophant:
This card represents teacher and healer. I believe that Meeks does realize he has been given a second chance at another life and is grateful for the gift.
Princess of Wands: Inverted (Upside Down)
This card represents a young person and also new projects. I feel because this is inverted, it shows he is doing this for his children to be proud of him and never expected to be in a position to have the opportunity.
Five of Pentacles: Inverted
This card represents self-esteem issues and sometimes health concerns. (possible past drug use) Because this card is inverted, it shows this modeling opportunity has obviously given him an unexpected chance to feel good about his life.
