Calming The Chaotic Choices With Five Of Wands Tarot
Whenever I see the Five of Wands Tarot come up in a reading spread, I know there is either argumentive turmoil going on around the person I am reading for or an internal struggle they have yet to resolve. The Five of Wands is representative of disagreement, competition, strife, tension and conflict. I would not say it is one of the most challenging cards in the tarot deck but it definitely represents you are at a point in your life where there is a lot of chaos in at least one area of your life.
The Fives typically represent conflict and change and it no different for the Five of Wands. It usually carries the energy of not regarding others and in staying in conflict. The good thing about this particular tarot card, even though it does indicate strife, is a solution is close at hand. It is a situation where challenge has been created to settle a long-overlooked situation or an internal confusion that has finally reached the point where something must be done.
What the Five of Wands does is show you it is time to roll up your sleeves with enthusiasm and make those needed changes. One thing is for sure, when you see this card, change is coming, whether you like it or not. The challenge will be will be in trying to help everyone be on the same page and to deal with whatever change is coming positively and without obstruction in your path. That also includes your internal strife of not knowing what to do with an issue or a situation in your life.
When the Five of Wands shows up reversed, it is indicating that you have worked out most of the conflicts that has kept you from making those changes or a way of ‘no way out’ thinking and have now taken the approach of avoiding any more conflict and only focusing on your solution.
In general, when this card appears, it usually is focused on the career arena but I have found with the new Aquarius energy on earth now, it seems to come up more and more with personal issues. Whether it is about relationships of family or partnership or just the inner turmoil we put ourselves through worrying over something we have no control over. The need to believe in yourself is stronger than ever now.

Career, Love, Money, Health, Spirituality
Where Career is the focus with the Five of Wands, you are usually feeling challenged at work. Whether realizing there is a new kid on the block that has stepped on your desire to be promoted or your own self-doubts that the job you have at the present might not be right for you and trying to decide whether to move on to a new position.
When Love and romance is the issue being addressed, there is an indication of whether you can beat the competition out to win the person your heart desires at the moment. It is important to value what you are bringing to the table to win over or win back the person you want. Even if there is competition for the person who holds your heart, give it your best shot. If they cannot see how amazing you are, their loss and it also makes room for someone who does see how much you have to offer.
If you are looking at how your Money is going to play out when you draw the Five of Wands, it is showing that money has been tight and you are being asked to realistically look at how you can bring your finances to a more even keel. The good news is the money energy is being shaken up and should improve in some way in a matter of weeks.
Where Health is concerned with this tarot card, it may show you are having difficulty finding answers to bring your health back into balance. You may be frustrated in your search for answers about your health. Don’t give up, possibly ask for help with alternative approaches. Sometimes a simple supplement can bring your body back into balance.
When you are addressing Spirituality with the Five of Wands, it shows you are having questions about the path you are on at the moment and not sure which direction you must take to feel you are growing on your spiritual journey. The best approach is to let it come to you and not be in an intense search for big spiritual answers or a new path to follow.

Susan Z’s Verdict
The Five of Wands tarot is such a mixture of good things changing after a long struggle and the intensity you put into finding the right answer for your situation and with your emotions. The one thing this tarot card always indicates is that a struggle has been going on and unless it comes up reversed, it will continue until you just let it go and allow things to unfold as they are meant to.
